Spectacle Acura Named One of “Best Dealerships To Work For
Spectacle Acura was named one of Automotive News’ ‘Best Dealerships to Work For’ in 2014, marking the Chapel Hill, NC dealership’s second-straight year being included on this prestigious national list.
In its third year, Automotive News has partnered with Best Companies Group to identify the dealerships in the US and Canada that have excelled in creating quality employee workplaces. The program measures workplace satisfaction through a confidential survey of employers and employees.
“We’re certainly excited because this is a superb place to work. Every employee at the dealership – from leadership and beyond – have a voice in what we’re attempting to accomplish,” said Josh Vaughn, Spectacle Acura general manager. “It’s required to stay viable in today’s hyper-competitive environment because good isn’t good enough anymore. Everyone has an opinion, a voice, and can bring things up without fear. It’s our objective to be as see-through with our team as possible.”
But Vaughn’s open-door policy isn’t the only ingredient.
“We also indeed like to have joy around here,” Vaughn added. “And we like to eat a little bit too. In fact, two employees recently put together a barbecue lunch for the team.”

This culinary duo, better known as ‘Cue Dunnit,’ recently took third place at a Cary (N.C.) barbecue-themed festival; and travel across the Southeast challenging others within the highest levels of barbecue creation.
“What’s neat is that they are also (pit) masters and rival in regional competitions,” Vaughn added. “We truly want our employees to share their passions with everyone. Be sultry at whatever you do, including your work.”
